VENGEFUL Begins Recording New Album

December 6, 2007

VENGEFUL, the Montreal-based band featuring current and former members of ATHERETIC and MINDS alongside the session drummer for DESPISED ICON, has issued the following update:

"We are entering the studio with Bart (QUO VADIS) today to record our second album. That is almost exactly two years after the first album's sessions (December 8th, 2005).

"Anyways, needless to say we're really impatient to get this over with as we've been working on this material since last January. Some older tracks like 'Detention' and 'Twisted Side' are even from January 2006 and January 2005 respectively. Other songtitles include 'Lapsus', 'Sanctioned', a brutal one you might enjoy, and 'Transcending', the epic closer!"

VENGEFUL recently posted the video for its song "Sentenced". Regarding the clip, the group previously said, "It's violent yet not gory. Artsy yet very death metal. Some of the first images [we've] seen remind [us] of 'No Love Lost' (CARCASS)."

Watch the "Sentenced" video below.

"Sentenced" comes off VENGEFUL's debut album, "Karma", which was released earlier in the year via Disconcert Music.

According to a press release, VENGEFUL "plays death metal that is fuelled by pure hatred and deep anger, accompanied by a firm sense of song structure and dynamic. . . Their music shows influences from pioneers such as GORGUTS, IMMOLATION, NILE and CRYPTOPSY."
